I took this picture while I was waiting for some friends outside the metro. It was Saturday morning, gray and grim like many winter mornings here in Paris. I particularly liked the bright red trousers, it seemed like a statement..a way of saying "I dare to put some color in this city".
I like bold statements like this, and I have been noticing more and more of it here in Paris. Maybe it's a way of defeating the grayness of the city?

I like the pants too.
I've noticed a lot of orange pants here in Rome. Men back home seem to stick to blue, black and khaki.
I love your observations on Paris fashion (I wish I could be as stylish as the girl in the wellingtons!). If you ever figure out how to have the courage to approach people and ask to take their picture, please let me know. I steal them too :-)
This reminds me of the Parisian gentleman wearing pink Converse All Stars...
